Manchester City Guilty Verdict Digested - The Wider View: A Leeds United Podcast

On Friday’s Leeds View we look ahead to Sunday’s game at Sunderland with former Black Cats striker Kevin Phillips naming the three Leeds players he thinks are the main threats. We go through what The Athletic’s Beren Cross said about Lukas Nmecha’s contract option and why he doesn’t expect a striker signing in January. We look at the players with the fewest minutes after nine games, including Sean Longstaff, Ilia Gruev and Jaka Bijol, and what that could mean for the window. We also ask what supporters are really getting for their money after Leeds promoted memberships in October, with the season already under way. Hosted on Acast. On Thursday’s Leeds View, Joe Gelhardt looks back on his Elland Road years and why he thinks a clean break was right for both sides. We look at Leeds’ run of three games against bottom-six sides before the international break, starting at Sunderland on Sunday, and hear from Sunderland defender Nordi Mukiele, who admits his side are “not good enough”. We go through the left-back picture after reports of Leeds scouts at Porto against PSV, with Zaidu Sanusi, Mauro Júnior and the future of Melvin Bard’s loan, and we cover Geny Catamo and Sunderland’s selection problems. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

On Wednesday’s Leeds View we hear from Noah Okafor, who calls Elland Road the best atmosphere he has played in and explains how a Zoom call and a plea from Dominic Calvert-Lewin convinced him to join. We look at Andreas Dracopoulos’s appointment to the Leeds board, which has now been filed at Companies House. We go through what Leeds need in the transfer market, with only £18m of more than £180m in fees spent on attack since promotion, and the scouting reports on Waterford’s Tommy Lonergan and Club Brugge’s Nicolò Tresoldi. We also cover the latest on Rennes striker Esteban Lepaul. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
