Summary
Brendan Slocum, an author and classically trained musician, shares his journey from music educator to thriller writer, highlighting how the COVID-19 pandemic sparked his literary career. Slocum's debut novel, "The Violin Conspiracy," centers on a young Black violinist and a stolen instrument, blending themes of music, race, and identity. He discusses the challenges he faced while writing his second book, "Symphony of Secrets," and how stepping back from his work allowed him to appreciate it more fully.
