Noelle Maritz: Cup Runs, Family Vibes & Villa’s WSL Ambition

The WSL season is here and Noelle Maritz says Aston Villa are ready to make a statement.

In this episode of The Villa Podcast, Noelle talks to Kate Tracey and Lee Hendrie about her winning mentality “on the pitch, I want to win”, and why she believes Villa can push for silverware this season. She shares how a call from Carla Ward convinced her to join, what gives this squad its “family vibes,” and her hopes for a cup run and a final in Claret and Blue.

We also dive into Noelle’s journey from her first cap for Switzerland as a teenager, to playing a home Euros, signing her first pro contract, winning trophies in Germany, and taking on a new challenge in the WSL with Arsenal before choosing Villa. Along the way she reveals her toughest opponents in training and on the pitch, her versatility (“keep moving me back and I’ll end up in goal!”), and what she wants to be remembered for in claret and blue.
