TFW Daily - Why no Aussie XI? - South Africa Australia, 1st Test, Durban
The Final Word Cricket PodcastShow Notes
South Africa Australia Daily, 1st Test, Durban Preview: The talking is almost over. 1 vs 2 in world cricket: a series with narrative everywhere you look. South Africa will play its first home Test since last year’s glorious WTC final, with a lineup very similar to June 2025. One superstar comes in for another: Anrich Nortje replaces the injured Kagiso Rabada, and the experienced spinner Simon Harmer joins Ke$hav Maharaj on a pitch expected to turn. Australia return to the country of their biggest fiasco, still unsure of their starting XI. We won’t know until the toss who’ll be replacing all-rounder Cameron Green. Cooper Connolly is the most likely, but will Nic Maddinson storm in late? Bharat Sundaresan joins Adam Colins in Kingsmead in Durban.
