al-ʿAqīdah aṭ-Ṭaḥāwiyyah, taught by Shaykh Abu Iyaad Amjad Rafiq (hafidhahullāh)
• A new section: aṭ-Ṭaḥāwī's statement "We hold wiping over the khuffs, when travelling and when resident, as has come in the narration"
• Shaykh Zayd al-Madkhalī (raḥimahullāh): three days and nights for the traveller and a day and a night for the resident, if the socks were put on with wuḍūʾ; janābah still requires ghusl
• The Rāfiḍah reject wiping over the khuffs, which is why it is mentioned in the books of creed
• Shaykh Ṣāliḥ Āl ash-Shaykh (hafidhahullāh): the narrations are mutawātir, from around eighty Companions, and wiping over ordinary socks (al-jawrabayn) is also reported from the Companions
• "Ḥajj and jihād continue with those in authority": jihād is waged under a Muslim ruler with authority and an army, not by Khawārij groups such as al-Qāʿidah and ISIS
• When jihād becomes obligatory on every individual, such as when the ruler calls a person to it or he is present when the battle begins; otherwise it is a communal obligation with conditions of strength and clear leadership
• Ḥajj is performed behind the rulers whether righteous or sinful, as the Companions did behind al-Ḥajjāj ibn Yūsuf
