Show Notes
A brand new season of "Harley Quinn" is underway and along with it, the Harley Quinn Podcast. Hosts Vanessa, Keenon, and Mike break down season five of the MAX exclusive. The first episode of the podcast features the three friends discussing the wild events of episode one, 'The Big Apricot.'
Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy are in a rut, Gotham is in fiery disarray, so Metropolis is looking incredibly delightful in comparison. The ladies cause a ruckus in the shiny city and we meet Lena Luthor, Bruce Wayne's new girlfriend and Lex Luthor's little sister. Lois Lane, Jimmy Olsen, Superman (and his many super suits), and Brainiac are also in this jam-packed premiere.
The hosts break down the blink-and-you'll-miss-it Gotham City Sirens scene, the "Killing Joke" reference, Superman's sadness, Lena's motives, Harlivy's relationship, and all things Metropolis. Watch or listen to the episode below.
Read Vanessa's full season five review here (spoiler warning).
Synopsis: The fifth season of "Harley Quinn" finds Harley (Kaley Cuoco) and Ivy (Lake Bell) in a new location: Metropolis, the home of all things Superman, Lois Lane, and the Daily Planet. Harley and Ivy discover that something sinister is at play and all is not what it seems. Looming threats include Lex Luthor and his sister, Lena Luthor, plus fan-favorite Brainiac. But of course, Harley's crew of misfits and allies will join her on this irreverent journey that takes no prisoners in having fun in the DC sandbox.
