Why You Should Not Simply Wait During the ART Review Period

Australian Migration Talks

Show Notes

What should you do after lodging an ART review?

Many applicants assume that once an ART review has been lodged, the only thing left to do is wait for the hearing and final decision. But waiting does not mean you should stop planning.

In this episode, Alex and Jasmine explain why the ART waiting period can be a critical time to prepare a second visa pathway. They discuss Bridging Visas, the Section 48 bar, skilled migration options such as 190 and 491, the 494 regional employer-sponsored pathway, employer sponsorship, and onshore Partner Visa applications involving Schedule 3.

The key message is simple: don’t wait until the ART decision to start thinking about what comes next. Use the waiting period to build a genuine backup pathway.
