We then dove straight into the Dutch Grand Prix at Zandvoort, which was sure to deliver and was an exceptional way to welcome us back after the summer break. Oscar Piastri converted pole into victory, extending his championship lead and keeping McLaren on top. Lando Norris suffered a late-race retirement from P2, handing second place to Max Verstappen at home, while rookie Isack Hadjar secured a sensational first-ever Formula 1 podium in P3 for Racing Bulls.
Three Safety Cars, major incidents involving Hamilton, Leclerc, and Antonelli, and standout drives from George Russell, Alex Albon, and Ollie Bearman kept the field in constant flux. We also cover key news from the summer break, including Checo Pérez and Valtteri Bottas contract confirmations, and react to some of the funniest driver moments off-track.
We wrap up with how the championship standings now look heading into Monza, with Piastri holding a commanding lead, plus our green flag/red flag.
