Show Notes
The 2010's were absolutely choked with movie adaptations of young adult dystopian novels where the world is bad but there's a special girl or guy and also there's a sci-fi twist but also an evil organisation or government. And let's be honest they didn't always work with a few notable expections, one of which being The Hunger Games. But we looked at those already so we're gonna talk about the Maze Runner trilogy starring Dylan O'Brian and directed by Wes Ball. Thanks for watching our Caravan Of Garbage review.

More from The Weekly Planet
Welcome back to a brand new episode of The Weekly Planet where this week we review the latest DCU movie Clayface, the B-tier Batman villian. We also discuss the latest Star Wars news including Taika Waititi's movie being cancelled and Starfighter being the most expensive Star Wars entry of all time. Plus the top contenders for James Bond, a Poison Ivy tv series in development, big Netflix drama and more! Thanks for listening.
You can blame the MCU for giving the good people over at Street Fighter HQ the idea they could make a series of prequels leading up to an actual Street Fighter movie. Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li from 2009 tells the origin of Chun Li as played by Kristin Kreuk as she takes on the villaneous Shadaloo headed up by the always Irish M. Bison. Hilarious and baffling movie all round with an incredible performace by Chris Klein and the inclusion of some of your favourite characters like Balrog and Vega handled completely wrong. There's a lot to unpack with this one and I'm not even sure we covered it all. Thanks for watching our Caravan Of Garbage review!
Street Fighter has returned in live action form! And third times a charm is what we say we invented that saying. We review that plus take a look at the first reactions for DCU’s Clayface, an update on Lanterns Season 2, Mr Miracle casting, The Batman Part II gets a second director, trailers for Narnia: The Magician’s Nephew, The Exorcist: Martyrs and the tragic passing of RJ Mitte. Thanks for listening!
1994 gave us two video game to movie adaptations of Street Fighter, Street Fighter starring Jean-Claude Van Damme, which, although fondly remembered now, was much maligned at the time for being cheesy and inaccurate, and the anime adaptation Street Fighter 2: The Animated Movie. The second of which adheres much closer to the video games and managed to turn a tidy profit despite a limited release. It's famous for brutal fight scenes, a wide character roster and a completely out of nowhere Chun-Li nude shower sequence. Thanks for watching our Caravan Of Garbage review!
Social media is bad. That’s what The Social Reckoning reckons anyways. We review that plus talk Zodiac the latest MCU streaming show and the first reactions to VisionQuest. With the Paramount swallowing up Warner Bros. situation confirmed we discuss the fallout including who’s fired and who’s hired and the state of the DCU and James Gunn’s role. Plus news concerning the halting of filming on The Batman Part II, delays on Lord of the Rings: Shadow of the Past and Michael Bay returning to the Transformers franchise. Thanks for listening!
