Show Notes
I’m joined by the man with the most extraordinary hair in the UK, which can only really mean one thing...Sam Ryder. He stole all of our hearts at the Eurovision Song contest with his hit ‘Spaceman’, as well as becoming a TikTok sensation and even landing the role of Jesus in the West End. For someone who has achieved so much, he is probably the most humble person I’ve ever met - and I’m lucky to call him a true friend after filming our show ‘Your Song’ together last year.
We covered a lot!! From why he stopped drinking alcohol, to his impressive THREE near-death experiences (protect Sam at all costs), to how we can all make the world a better place. Oh, and there was also that one time he kidnapped someone on tour - but more on that later…

More from Mad, Sad and Bad with Paloma Faith
Pam & Shanthi join me to talk about watching their children, Romesh and me, face public scrutiny, raising us as single parents and why they never warned us parenting was so difficult! From navigating infidelity with kids to the power of education, I’m revisiting this honest conversation as one of my favourite moments from Mad, Sad & Bad.
People keep telling me Grace Campbell reminds them of me, which I’m taking as a HUGE compliment! She’s a North London legend, I’m an East London legend, so it was about time we met. I had a feeling we’d have plenty to talk about…
We’ve shared so many unforgettable conversations on Mad, Sad & Bad, and I’m looking back at some of my favourite moments from the podcast.
You might know telly LEGEND Davina McCall from Big Brother, but I grew up working out to her fitness DVDs in my student flat, lifting tins of baked beans 😂
