Alright Mary: All Things RuPaul's Drag RaceShow Notes
As a wise woman once asked, are y’all ready to rock and roll? The first bracket of All Stars is kicking off this season with a glam rock girl group before getting their knives out for a southern fried murder mystery. Irene the Alien crash lands into a redemption arc, Aja is giving tristate area hair stories, Principal Skye is back from sabbatical, Bosco zips to the top of the pack, Phoenix is Delphine Brigandi and Olivia isn’t joking bitch. Rupaul wins his own challenge, we’re hot and cold for the guest judges and this new format is just what this show needed.

A who’s who of seasons past—and Jackie!—are back in the workroom for Canada’s first all stars season. A mix of early outs and runners up get into pageant mode for swimsuit dancing, talent acts that don’t involve lip syncing, gowns the house down and gentle critiques from Season 1 sisters before, right on schedule, Neara goes the distance in Untucked and then sends Miss Cox back across the border.
A stripping snowman, a crying cheerleader, a dancing homosexual and some exhausted backup dancers round out the final episode of the semifinals in this week’s talent show. Crystal’s method seems to be working this season, A’keria’s puppets were not and Sam’s star power just isn’t enough to send her to the finals.
