This week I'm sharing something I've been working on for years: The Intimate Self. It started as an online course I wrote and never released, and I've since pulled it apart and rebuilt it as a body of work, a series of articles you can read in any order, with no coursework or homework required. I talk about why I didn't want to call it "empowerment," why it isn't about tips and tricks, and why I'm writing the thing I wish I'd had as a young adult. It'something grounded, spiritual, and body-centered, focusing on helping you become someone who can figure out intimacy for yourself. Part 1 is complete and available for you to access. Key Themes:
How The Intimate Self began as an unfinished online course and became a body of work Why knowing your intimate self is different from learning sex tips and tricks Creating the resource I wish I'd had when I was first becoming an adult Using intimacy and sexuality as a pathway to personal growth and becoming your best self Building the communication, honesty, and vulnerability that make intimacy strong Two ways to access the work: paid Substack or a one-time purchase on my website

This week I'm answering a listener question: "How do you deal with emotions when they feel uncontrollable?" I get into why the hardest emotions, like anger, shame, fear, jealousy, and grief, feel so out of control, and why gaining control has nothing to do with pushing them down, hiding them, or running from them. I talk about what it really means to feel an emotion all the way through, the healthy coping tools to lean on, and daily rituals to keep you steady while you process. I also talk about when it's time to bring in extra support like therapy, and why feeling a big emotion isn't a flaw. Key Themes:
I keep running into the same conversation lately - overhearing it, seeing it online, hearing it from clients. People saying they just don't have anything left to give to dating or relationships right now. This episode is me unpacking that from a few different angles: why recognizing your own capacity is actually healthy, why I don't think we have to have ourselves fully figured out before we can be in a relationship, and how much of this comes down to how overworked, overstimulated, and oversaturated our lives have become. I talk about the real cost of being constantly plugged in, what it actually takes to open up emotional space for connection, and how to tell the difference between protecting your energy and just staying closed off. Key Themes:
I said the word "divorce" on Instagram last week and people had a lot of opinions. It was in the podcast episode too, but less opinions there. It's not a word I use lightly and this episode gets into why it carries so much weight and what it's like to be on the receiving end of everyone else's reactions to it. Which was perfect for October's Monthly Read: Strangers by Belle Burden, a memoir of marriage that's really about the unraveling of one. I talk about how much I saw myself in her story, the strange parallels between how people respond to divorce and how they responded when I had cancer, and why the real gift of a book like this is the reminder that you never actually know what someone else is carrying. Key Themes:
Back from a wedding and settling back into my own routine, which taught me something I didn't expect: I'm not against routine, I just need it to be mine. I talk about getting back into running after two years away. It's not just about exercise, but creating an energy shift that I was craving. Then the thought that kept surfacing all week, the moment in a relationship when you know it's over but you haven't left yet. I went to a wedding and kept thinking about my own life and what that feeling is like, why it takes so many of us a while to get there, and how living through it has changed the way I show up for the people I work with. Key Themes:
Today's episode is a little more spontaneous than usual. I sat down to record because I was feeling stressed, overwhelmed, and like I wasn't doing enough, even though, when I really looked at it, that wasn't fully true. I talk about how much we glamorize entrepreneurship and business ownership, what "panic working" looks like when you're spiraling, and how I brought myself back to what's important instead of chasing quick fixes or distractions. It's an honest look at what building a business really feels like and the normal response to stress. Key Themes:
