Evening Standard Rugby Podcast with Lawrence Dallaglio

Show Notes

Lawrence Dallaglio, Sarra Elgan and the Evening Standard’s Steve Cording are joined by former Head Coach of Wasps, Lee Blackett. Lee talks about his experience in the URC and why he’s learned to love his long commute, plus why he chose Bath for the next step of his career and what excites him about the year ahead. He also reveals how other coaches in the league reacted when Wasps fell into administration last year.

In light of the recent club statement from his former club, Lawrence shares his views on the latest situation with Wasps and the team also review the European Champions Cup Final, discussing what Ronan O’Gara has brought to La Rochelle in his time as Head Coach.

There’s a divide between Lawrence and Steve on their predictions for this weekend’s Premiership Final and, as always, the team select their Player of the Week.

Plus Lee gets ‘Tackled’ by Lawrence, revealing the funniest players he’s worked with and why his most memorable rugby moment is not necessarily his happiest.
