Dietitians in Nutrition Support

Show Notes

For basically every clinical patient you work with, you are likely calculating or estimating the energy needs of the patient. For nutrition support, this is particularly critical given we base all of our provisions directly off of these calculations. While there are lots of approaches to getting an estimated calorie range, some options are better than others. In this video, Kayla, Turner, and Lauren will walk through direct and indirect calorimetry, options for predictive equations, and 2 mini cases with comparisons between our multiple equation choices.
