We've got it all - running water in the urinal, personal agency and a 7th watch of Joker 2. Tim and Guy examine the brutal reality of the seven times at the trough. Stuffed, so completely, with Joker 2.
Monty is steadfast in his belief that he simply will not be bossed around by this movie, and breaks down (with the detail and vocabulary of a decades-long sports commentator) the back and forth of the boiz' latest fight. Guyguy also puts up a spirited defence of Steve Coogan's performance within the context of the borderline impossible acting job he had to perform. And let us not forget the brilliant Catherine Keener.
Tim meanwhile wants to dig deep into the nature of comedy (again), clowns and what the movie was trying to do with all three of those things.

Adam Sandler appears to have re-upped his lucrative Netflix multi-picture deal and it's a good thing because without it, would we even have the Netflix original: Spaceman (2024)? In this dramatic sci-fi turn for the Sandman, Paul Dano voices an unfortunately unf***able spider and Sandler himself stretches his legs by randomly hinting at a Czech accent. It's worth noting that Carey Mulligan is in this movie and it's also worth noting that 8 potential good movies could have been made from the bones of this single (SPOILER ALERT) bad one. You'd better believe Tim and Guy list each and every possibility. Come blast off with us in, Spaceman.
Production note: This one was also supposed to come out ages again, soz about it!
PRODUCTION NOTE: Opps - this was supposed to come out ages ago, sorry!
As we all count down the hotly anticipated release of Grown Ups 3 in H1 ‘27, today we explore the sequel to the adored 1996 comedy classic Happy Gilmore, Happy Gilmore 2, directed by Kyle Newacheck (Workaholics). This cinematic project could be considered the artful packaging of a financial transaction between 200 brands and personalities. It could be considered a rather cynical and lazy successor to a film that was responsible for making Adam Sandler a breakout hit, and household name. It could also be held up as a rare example of Rob Schneider being seen amongst normal entertainers in 2026. What is could not be identified as, however, is a good movie. Hosted on Acast. How much do you want to know about Happy Gilmore (1996)? Because Timbo and Guyguy have just re-watched it and it turns out: This is in the pantheon of Guy’s favourite ever movies, and Tim know how to use Google. Peak behind an all-timer comedy movie, which came out during an insane run of big studio comedies (right in the middle of Jim Carrey’s golden era) that will likely never be repeated. The movie is essentially perfect so let’s glaze the heck out of it before we see the sequel and more importantly, as we brace for Grown Ups 3 impact.
