Laura Treacy - From Killeagh to Croke Park

Our guest for the opening episode of Season 5 of the GAA Minor Moments podcast with Electric Ireland is four-time All-Star and six-time All-Ireland winning former Cork Camogie player Laura Treacy.

In this episode, Laura reflects on her remarkable career, from her formative Minor years shaped by family and community in Killeagh, to her illustrious inter-county journey and recent transition from elite sport.

She openly discusses the challenges of post-retirement routine, balancing new freedoms with her enduring passion, and the vital role of parental support and local role models for young female athletes.

Every Tuesday, well known Irish stars will share memories from their early sporting careers and reflect on the defining moments from playing Minor and how that shaped them both on and off the pitch.
