Steph De Sousa: From A Love Of Scratch Cooking To MasterChef Contestant & Social Media Sensation! Being A Cook, Author, Mother & More
TEA WITH JULESShow Notes
Steph De Sousa—AKA The Frugal Foodie or steph_cooks_stuff on Instagram—is a passionate cook, author, mother of 4, and Instagram sensation. While living with her young family on the French-speaking island of Vanuatu for a short time, Steph worked as a hairdresser and makeup artist for weddings. It was here that the island taught her about buying and using fresh ingredients from local markets, eating organic, and where she developed her love of scratch cooking. She made her way to becoming a contestant on MasterChef, and Australia fell in love with her gorgeous personality and ability to simplify meals. Across Steph’s content, website and books, she shows us how to create simple, delicious, family-friendly meals without a lavish budget. Steph has two amazing books available—Air Fryer Queen and her new book, Easy Dinner Queen, which will have you in your own kitchens not believing how easy she makes creating food. Steph is like a warm hug, and you will probably get hungry during this episode...so grab snacks! More from TEA WITH JULES
Welcome to the first Current Life Edit, a brand new kind of episode where Jules and her manager and friend Lisa Johnston pull back the curtain on exactly what's going on in their lives, in real time. No guest, no script, just a handful of honest questions and wherever the answers take them. It's the kind of unfiltered, feet up chat you have with your best mate, and it might all change by next week.
Television presenter, author, entrepreneur and mum of two Sally Obermeder returns to Tea with Jules, eleven years after her first visit. The day before she welcomed her daughter Annabel, Sally was diagnosed with aggressive stage 3 breast cancer, entering motherhood while facing chemotherapy, surgery and enormous uncertainty. What she built on the other side of that is a story of pure resilience.
