Show Notes
My guest on the show today is Grace Alice Ó Sé, a sex and intimacy specialist and author from Kerry, Ireland. She is deeply passionate about playing her part in making Ireland a more sex-positive, sex-literate nation – one where we can talk honestly and without shame about ALL aspects of sexuality. Sex is a very intimate and private part of our lives, and body image issues often coincide with struggles around sex or intimacy, which we get into in this episode, along with:

More from Food, Body and Beyond
Body image struggles commonly coincide with issues around food, with 93% of women struggling with some level of body image dissatisfaction.
In this real-life, unscripted nutrition counselling session, I speak with a woman who has struggled with body image her entire life; her earliest memory of disliking her body being when she was 8 years old. She now feels in a good place with food, but her struggles with body image remain, which is heavily impacting her relationships not just with others, but with herself.
As two nutrition professionals, we've heard some shoddy nutrition advice over the years.
If you've ever wondered about therapy or have been curious about how it works, this episode is one to listen to. Cara Byrne is a Humanistic Integrative Psychotherapist, with a Master's Degree and Higher Diploma in Psychotherapy. She is also the owner of Hike Psych, Ireland's only hiking psychotherapy practice, combining her love of hiking with her passion for psychotherapy.
Navigating life transitions can be tough. So what can we do to help us to make it through?
