July 1990 (Great Sporting Injustices)

(I usually set these to publish at 5am-ish but I'm going for midnight tonight to catch that "can't sleep in this heat" crowd).

Have you been to a sports day this year? And if not, was that because it was too hot or too cold? Can go either way. On today's episode we talk about the era in which sports days did happen - for better or worse. Esyllt recalls her disastrous sports day of July 1990 - and then, like an episode of BBC World Service's Sporting Witness, she returns to the scene - having attended her primary school's 150th anniversary do.

Other Projects Probably as good a time as any to remind you that Esyllt has another podcast, Speaking As A Mother, with Robin Morgan. Gareth (me) doesn't have another podcast, but would like you to come and see his show Cyril in Edinburgh if you're about and he's (me, still) also doing Work In Progresses on 14 July in Cardiff (although this may have sold out) and one in Bath on 30 July.
