Show Notes

The international break is over and it is time to talk Tottenham. On today's show the lads are looking ahead to Sunderland away on Sunday, the first Premier League test since that painful afternoon at Old Trafford where Romero's early red card set the tone for a long day at the office. Two weeks away from it all should have done the squad a bit of good. Thomas Frank has had time on the training pitch, the internationals are filtering back in, and Spurs now face a Sunderland side at the Stadium of Light who will fancy their chances against a Tottenham team that has looked anything but settled. Trip up there and the mood gets darker. Win well and suddenly the run-in starts to feel a lot more interesting. Jonny, Ollie and Jake break down what needs to change after the United result, who should come back into the side, how Frank sets up away from home, and whether this is the week we finally see a response. Plus the usual chat on team news, injury updates, and what a good afternoon on Wearside looks like. La Risurrezione. Time to rise again. Come on you Spurs. Jake R, Jake S and Gary are back for a post match reaction show after Spurs finally got off the mark in the league. Roberto De Zerbi's Tottenham Hotspur welcomed Coventry City to North London on Monday in pursuit of a first Premier League win this season, and collected a 3-1 victory over their newly-promoted visitors. James Maddison gave Spurs their first lead of the season with a brilliant first time finish from the edge of the box. Against his old club too, which made it even sweeter for him. The win moves Spurs out of the bottom three after James Maddison, Omar Marmoush, and Ben Davies scored against Frank Lampard's Cov.

What a game that was. We are back this morning to pick through the bones of a proper rollercoaster at Old Trafford. Tottenham Hotspur were the dominant side for 60 minutes, but Bryan Mbeumo turned it all upside and put Manchester United ahead, only for Dominic Solanke to equalise in stoppage time, following Rodrigo Bentancur's red card.
