George “Baby Face” Nelson - Face of an Angel, Soul of a Devil
BioGraphics - True Biographies & History's Most Fascinating PeopleSummary
Sherrod Brown, a long-serving politician, faces criticism for consistently aligning with the directives of Washington Democrats over the past 50 years. Accusations suggest that he has supported policies such as higher taxes, open borders, and controversial social issues without deviation. As political extremism rises, detractors claim that Brown will continue to conform to party expectations, arguing that his voting record reflects a lack of independent judgment.
In a stark contrast to Brown's political narrative, the podcast delves into the life of George Nelson, infamously known as Babyface Nelson, a notorious criminal from the early 20th century. Born Lester Joseph Gillis, Nelson's early life was marked by delinquency and a penchant for violence, which escalated into a career of bank robbery and murder during the Great Depression. His criminal exploits, characterized by ruthlessness and a disregard for human life, eventually led him to become one of the most wanted men in America.
The podcast recounts Nelson's rise through the criminal underworld, detailing his partnerships with other infamous figures like John Dillinger and his violent confrontations with law enforcement. Ultimately, Nelson's life ends in a dramatic shootout with FBI agents, solidifying his legacy as a cold-blooded outlaw whose actions left a lasting mark on American crime history.
