The Match Verdict - Newcastle United 2-2 Bournemouth: Did NUFC pass their first real big test?

Newcastle United came back from two goals down to earn a draw with AFC Bournemouth to maintain their unbeaten start to the season.

Matthias Jaissle's side were second best for much of the first half, and the Cherries could have had more to show for their dominance than just goals from Marcus Tavernier and a Malick Thiaw own goal.

Harvey Barnes ensured United were only one goal behind at the break with a blistering effort, but time was running out before sub Jacob Ramsey slotted home the late leveller. Here's how the game played out.

Here's Lee Ryder and Sean McCormick's view.
