You're Creeping Me Out

19. Dark Queer History- from Oscar Wilde to the Holocaust

You're Creeping Me Out

Show Notes

This episode starts with our creepy things, including our personal cockroach battles and an explosive extraction that left Cherokee covered in blood. Our main topic this week is a departure from our usual light hearted fare. To commemorate the last day of Pride month, Cherokee is bringing you some dark queer history. From the trials of Oscar Wilde, to the ground breaking work of Dr. Magnus Hirschfield, to the treatment of gay men during the holocaust-- we are covering some pretty heavy stuff. But history is important and we cant learn from it if we don't remember it. And don't worry, we still have some lol's and feel goods peppered in there. We are always open to new topic suggestions...
