When Life Falls Apart, Does it Actually Fall Into Place? | A Buddhist Story When we’re hanging onto a root that’s chewed away by mice with a hungry snake below and an even hungrier tiger above us, what can we possibly do to get out of this situation? What is the best course of action when there seems to be no way out? When life falls apart, we might want to remember that everything changes all the time. Like night turns into day, bad fortune turns into good fortune, and a curse turns into a blessing. So, could it be that, eventually, life doesn’t fall apart but... Into place? This video is based on a Buddhist story, that I originally heard from a Buddhist monk named Ajahn Brahm. Stop Trying to Get It And You'll Have It | The Backwards Law Taoism for Inner Peace (book): https://einzelganger.co/tao/The backwards law proposes that the more we pursue something, the more we achieve the opposite of what we truly want and the more disappointed we feel. Or simply put: the harder we try, the less likely we’ll succeed. On the flip side: when we stop trying, we’ll have what we want. Now, how exactly does this backwards law work in practice? Or more specifically: how exactly do we get what we want, by not trying to get what we want? This video explores the backwards law and its paradoxical nature, as well as the cause of our ongoing dissatisfaction in life, and how we can liberate ourselves from it.Support the channel: ✔️ PayPal: https://www.paypal.me/einzelgangerco ✔️ Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/einzelgangster ✔️ Bitcoin: 3HQnEz1LQ4G6dqN2LdZgzc7qoJjJCyWjTC (Donated BTC and want in the credits? Ichigo Ichie: The Japanese Art of Appreciating Every Moment The Japanese Zen Buddhists were aware of life’s fleeting nature; every moment is unique and can never be reexperienced. The Zen tradition gave birth to the term Ichigo Ichie, which could be roughly translated to “once in a lifetime” or “this time only.”Video: Ichigo Ichie: The Japanese Art of Appreciating Every MomentSupport the channel: ✔️ Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/einzelgangster ✔️ PayPal: https://www.paypal.me/einzelgangerco ✔️ Bitcoin: 3HQnEz1LQ4G6dqN2LdZgzc7qoJjJCyWjTC (Donated BTC and want in the credits? Accepting Our Circumstances | The Philosophy of Marcus Aurelius Marcus Aurelius saw the law of nature as our master; if we run from it or feel grief or anger about it, we’re nothing more than deserters and fugitives. We must accept the ways of nature, embrace them, and focus on dealing with them instead of wasting our energy being disgusted by or clinging to our circumstances. The full video is available here: https://youtu.be/LGXRpbDuDGE#stoicism #marcusaurelius #stoicism Turn on notifications for the podcast & rate it a 5star for new episodes.
