EDC – Danny Jarvis: 3rd Birthday Anthems Mix
Three years of Early Doors Club has delivered some huge dancefloor moments - where underground energy meets pure nostalgia. Every gig has its magic, but there are always those special tunes: a cheeky remixed classic dropped at just the right moment, catching the crowd off guard and lifting the room. This closing set didn’t mess about. It’s packed with reworked gems from the early ’90s, with a special nod to 1996 - celebrating the 30-year anniversaries of records I was playing first time round. It was an EDC Anthems night, after all.
If you were there, press play and relive the feels. EDC and PHUK head honcho Danny Jarvis comes out of retirement for a stunning inward journey, ditching kicks and hi-hats in favour of self-reflection. AD(in)HD is Danny's beatless journey inward, using slow pulses, nature recordings and emotionally rich electronic textures to create space for reflection. His mix explores perception, identity and the layers we accumulate, gently moving towards peace, acceptance and simply sitting with whatever arises. "Throughout our lives we accumulate identities, expectations, possessions, fears, ambitions and stories about who we think we are. Some are useful; others can gradually distance us from whatever sits underneath them. This mix is about gently travelling in the opposite direction." Thank you Danny. AD(in)HD is a sublime addition to our otherworldly The Void series. Bar well and truly set. Tracklist: Intro LSD interview with 1950’s Housewife With It’s your life…. 01.
