The Mencho Files: Rise and Fall of Mencho is a deep investigative series that explores the rise of the Cártel de Jalisco Nueva Generación and the life of its elusive leader, Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes. From the rural mountains of Michoacán to a global criminal empire spanning multiple continents, the series traces how one cartel reshaped the modern drug war. Through court records, investigative journalism, intelligence reports, and firsthand accounts, each episode reconstructs the power struggles, violent conflicts, and hidden networks that built CJNG — and the massive international manhunt that finally brought its leader down. This is the story of how a cartel rises, how it survives, and what happens when the kingpin falls.

A routine encounter near Independence Mall unexpectedly cracked open one of Philadelphia’s strangest ongoing investigations. A woman was found using the identity of a missing person, leading police to a house on West Chew Avenue in Olney—and into the bizarre world surrounding Raymond Horsch, a photographer and filmmaker with a decades-long history that stretched from Philadelphia to New Zealand. What investigators reportedly uncovered next only made the story darker: missing women, fake identities, an enormous archive of explicit and disturbing material, photographs and videos that authorities have scrutinized for possible evidence of real deaths, and allegations involving a recording said to show the killing of Nicole Fusaro. But the case is far from simple. Some of Horsch’s imagery was staged. Some early evidence reports later changed. And several women connected to the investigation are still missing. In this episode, we go deep into the Olney House investigation—Raymond Horsch’s bizarre past, the women whose names became tied to the case, the search of the Chew Avenue property, the explicit material that raised disturbing questions, and the mystery investigators are still trying to unravel. This week on Gangster Wednesday, we travel through the rapidly changing world of international organised crime—from the alleged cover-up surrounding Héctor Cuén’s murder and Mexico’s mysterious drone thefts and security alerts, to the daylight assassination of Israeli underworld figure Yanis Yushvaev and the arrests of Ecuadorian suspect “Chito” and Scottish gangland figure Steven “Bonzo” Daniel. We examine new questions about EncroChat evidence in Jonathan Gill’s extradition case, an alleged cocaine-support fleet operating off Ecuador, a Cambodian cryptocurrency network accused of laundering money for the Sinaloa Cartel, and the recovery of firearms and viable explosive devices in Dundalk. We also separate fact from internet speculation in two disturbing true-crime investigations: South Korea’s Jeju missing-person scandal and the Philadelphia house containing approximately 70,000 videos connected to women missing for years. All charges and official accusations discussed remain allegations unless a conviction is specifically stated.
We talk about Daniel Kinahans extradition and the lack of American coverage and what the future is for the Kinahan Cartel. Also more information into Bolle Jos attempted capture by the Netherlands, and Mexicos continued fight against the crumbling CJNG structure and more
Tonight on Gangster Fridays, we break down a week where the global underworld looks like it is being squeezed from every direction. Sean McGovern gets 24 years in Dublin, a Kinahan-linked oil tanker story pulls Irish gangland into Iran sanctions and dark-fleet shipping, Angelo Pandeli is deported from Bali after allegedly trying to flee on a private jet with a fake passport, and violent stories erupt from Belfast, Barcelona, Limerick, Massachusetts, South Africa, and beyond. From courtrooms to riots, encrypted phones to alleged hitmen, this week asks one big question: are the old safe havens for organized crime finally collapsing?
