Join me for a deep dive into the nation's capitol, not the swampy reflecting pool, no I am turning the wayback machine to the early 80s and the beginnings of the mod revival in Washington DC.
To bring us this mod origin story I am joined by a man who was there to see it all as it happened, the lead singer for mod power pop rockers Modest Proposal, and The Mondays!, friend of the Modcast Neal Augenstein.
And you'll get an early listen to the debut single from DC's The Generation, which was locked in a London storage unit for 33 years!
As always find a complete track list, a bonus third set of songs (some cool live footage of old DC mod revival bands this time around), and all the important links to all the important stuff over on the modcast homepage at Mistersuave.com.

Welcome to the wild side of the mod beginnings, the wild, wooly, often whacky, world of freakbeat. What is freakbeat? Good question and depending on who you ask people will tell you the sound of freakbeat includes everything from The Dave Clark Five to The Pretty Things, Herman's Hermits to The Beatles to The Action to even The Supremes. Anyhow here's my answer to that question. Let's take a walk on the wild side.
