Stewarding Your Health: Prevention, Purpose, and Taking Ownership of Your Well-Being | Sharon Lemoine | Ep. 449

The Aging Well Podcast

Show Notes

Is your health something that happens to you—or something you've been entrusted to care for?

In this episode of The Aging Well Podcast, Dr. Jeff Armstrong welcomes Sharon Lemoine, ARNP, owner of Gig Harbor Concierge Medicine. After more than 30 years in healthcare, including 25 years in emergency medicine, Sharon has witnessed the limitations of a system that often waits for illness before taking action. Today, she champions a different philosophy—one rooted in prevention, personal stewardship, and helping individuals become active participants in their own health.

Sharon's perspective is also deeply personal. Living with Type 1 diabetes, surviving thyroid cancer, navigating surgical menopause, and undergoing a prophylactic mastectomy have taught her that flourishing isn't about having a perfect body; it's about faithfully caring for the body you have while cultivating purpose, resilience, and meaningful relationships.

Together, Sharon and Dr. Armstrong explore the intersection of body, soul, and meaning, discussing how taking ownership of our health can transform not only how long we live, but how well we live.
