The PPCC gang has stuffed so much podcast review content in this episode, it’s a crime!! And if you don’t report us to the man, we’ll hand it over, for free!!! This week's accomplice, Liz, brings Guilty Pleasures, a movie and TV review podcast for loving all the things you know you shouldn’t. I mean, a movie is no podcast, but Liz says that this pod rocks at highlighting fun films and is great for keeping up with TV and movies in the world of pop culture, without the pretentiousness that can come with some film critics. Sam counters that visual media gobbledygook, with a good ol’ fashioned audio drama, in the form of Sherlock Holmes Short Stories. This little anthology might be the perfect treat for fans of mystery and the classic detective. Honor rounds out the case with some thoughts on table top role playing game podcast Realms of Peril and Glory and their attempt to push the bounds of podcasting by playing the game, Blood on the Clocktower. This social deduction game has so many moving parts and side conversations, is it even possible to make into a podcast? Honor seems to think so, so let’s jump in to find out! All this plus what our AI overlords really want, the league of gingers, the mafia, the Comanche dub for Prey 2022, the continuation of the “Are Plays Musicals?” debate, and so much more!!! Get in before the lawman does!
Pods we talk about: Sherlock Holmes Short Stories (audio drama, mystery, classic fiction) Realms of Peril & Glory (rpg actual play, not just D&D, well produced) Guilty Pleasures (movies,, TV shows, review podcast, down to earth)

Finally, we come to the foe we have long only heard legend of... One of the podcast greats... One of those podcasts that Jasper talked about but hadn't listened to... Welcome to Night Vale!! Sam and Honor are finally tackling this behemoth, much to Honor's glee and Sam's horror, due to the horrific parts, but it's sure to be a wacky ride to! Come along for discussions of oversharing on public radio, the old woman who lives in your attic, and whether this episode can be allowed to air on this episode of Podpodcastcast!!!
With Sam returned after the dastardly Sibling Takeover Ep, our hosts are embarking on a journey to tackle one of the radio classics of the podcast world, The Moth!! We're not quite sure if this is a "high minded" ep, or if you'll perhaps have your soul enriched, or if you'll manage to laugh despite the number of dead people Sam encountered, but we'll find out! Follow Sam and Honor as they discuss the balance of drama and comedy, whether podcasts should be government mandated, and whether The Moth hates chairs, on this episode of Podpodcastcast!!! The Moth (nonfiction, public radio, storytelling, arts)
Be warned for the chaos levels of this episode- Sam is off the pod for this one, and that can only mean one thing... Honor's brought back BOTH of her siblings at the same time, for the ultimate takeover!! Patience and Justice have both contributed to the podcasts covered on Podpodcastcast in ways you may have never realized, but haven't always been able to give their two cents on the podcasts that have made their way into the reviews. Well, this is their chance, along with the opportunity for discussion of family milestones, our new segment "cat by the table," the best Sam diss track of all time, and so much more on this episode of Podpodcastcast!!! Pod we talk about: The Far Meridian (audio drama, poetic, theme heavy, unfinished) NPR's Wait Wait, Don't Tell Me (news, game show) Wolf 359 (science fiction, space, drama and comedy) Chuckle Sandwich (comedy, internet personalities) 36 Questions (audio drama, musical, great sound design)
Listener... we just wanted to tell you, we love you... and you're part of the family... if your family has also listened to this episode of Podpodcastcast! This week your intrepid hosts dive into the world of Mel Robbins, self help guru and author of "The Let Them Theory" and "The 5 Second Rule." If we were really going for the Mel Robbins style, we'd have already fed you a handful of ads by now, but instead we'll just let you know that there's fantastic discussion of the best raw meat diets, whether Sam supports hypocrisy or not, and the alienation of life coaches on this episode of Podpodcastcast!!!
Never fear, after long last (the holiday break) Podpodcastcast has returned!!! Sam and Honor are back with a fantastic pod to kick off 2026, the extremely funny and surprisingly serious So True. What's really so true is that you know your hosts are back up to their old antics, getting to the serious truths of the world like what really counts as the South, whether funny people are allowed to sing, and where horses should be. We're hyped to be back and blasting in your ears, for another episode of Podpodcastcast!!
