Lara Gillespie on why 'you have to be brave to win’, after World Championship success! | OFF THE BALL BREAKFAST
OTB DailyShow Notes
Fresh off another rainbow jersey, Lara Gillespie joins Off The Ball Breakfast live from a stormy Wicklow after winning the 25km points race at the UCI World Track Championships in Shanghai.
She breaks down the tactics behind the win: sprint maths, lap gains, when to take risks, and the brutal training sessions behind that “hands in the air” finish.
Lara also reflects on the frustration of settling for silver in the scratch race, the confidence that comes with being world champ again, and why getting home to family, mountains, sea and simple routines is key for her mindset.
