Show Notes
Project Runway had a flash back to the 70s with Season 9 episode 10. The designers had to design something with a sophisticated 70s style. We went on very few tangents, thus the short episode but we do talk about the preview for next week which seems to be for the birds.
More from Blood Orange: We are SO Pretentious
In this episode we watched Season 11 episode 3 of Project Runway. The teams were challenged with designing a look for the ad campaign for Heidi's new perfume. Tangents - Burning Man, Mad Max, rave music, what we're reading, owning your media.
We watched and broke down season 11 episode 2 of Project Runway. Yeah, they're still working in teams. This time the teams were challenged with designing uniforms for a ping pong night club. Who knew that was a thing? We go on tangents about the 20th high school reunion we didn't go to, out goodreads goals, The Lost City of the Monkey God and Leishmaniasis (Sorry, really, I don't blame you for skipping this whole part), getting bitten by bugs, The Real World, and what Caitlin did for her birthday.
Here we go again. Season 11 episode 1. We think. This season the designers are stuck in teams. They are challenged with creating a garment that showcases them as a designer inspired by NYC but they're also supposed to use the input of them team members. We also go on tangents about how much group projects in school sucked, reality tv gimmicks, twins, Mary Kate and Ashley, being star struck in general, dogs, indie bookstore day, and The Pit.
Listen to us complain about the finale and then go on tangents for almost as long as we talk about the episode. We take a minute to listen to our namesake, blood orange. We fixate on how the episodes are edited. We talk about Who Framed Roger Rabbit, cybertrucks, Daiso, window shopping, mallrats, the books we're reading, kids on social media, tiktok, burning man, a heavily edited story about a rave, miniatures, and politcal history. This episode was hell to edit.
We're back from a short break in which we've still been recording episodes but I haven't been uploading them because we had to change the program we recorded and it's become obnoxious to edit. So anyway, yay for the season 10 finale part 1! In which Tim Gunn travels around the country to visit the finalists and the judges see their mini collections and decide which of them will go on to show at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week. We also talk about why Caitlins name isn't Caity, what we did for St. Patricks day, early 2000s high school fashion, federal monuments, Sacramento museums and things to do on the weekend, cyber trucks, road rage, news stories and politics from 2025, sorry, lol, Vivian Wilson, rent in San Francisco and we STILL didn't get a Blood Orange clip. How Rude.
