The second season will start with the events that happened after the Fall of Constantinople in 1453, as the Ottomans rebuilt the city and reformed their empire. The wars in Europe continued, though, with the siege of Belgrade in 1456 (https://youtu.be/vsCdpJiPm6Q). Over the next decades, the Ottomans snuffed out the last remnants of the Roman empire in Trebizond and Morea, while fighting the Skanderbeg rebellion (https://youtu.be/b3SgzSMPKDs), before the rise of Vlad Tepes Dracul the Impaler of Wallachia and the Night attack at Targoviste in 1462 (https://youtu.be/XpeeVmJPinI). Still, Mehmed continued relentless campaigns against Genoa, Bosnia, Albania, and Venice, amid a fractured and distracted Christendom (https://youtu.be/iaZGDIp6EFU), and fought another battle against Skanderbeg at Krujë, while in the East, a new enemy in the form of the Akkoyunlu and its sultan Uzun Hasan threatened the Ottoman dominance over Anatolia leading to the battle of Otlukbeli in 1473.The video was made by Ilhan Altunkaya, while the script was written by Ege Güneş https://www.instagram.com/historia_egefem This video was narrated by Officially Devin (youtube.com/channel/UCU0-VII-V376zFxiRGMeZGg & youtube.com/channel/UC79s7EdN9uXX77-Ly2HmEjQ). Thanks Raycon for sponsoring!Kings and Generals animated historical documentary series on the early modern history and history of the United States of America, continues with a new series on the Civil War. Previously, we have covered the American Revolution - the War of American Independence (https://youtu.be/yRfAoxJj5j8). The setup episode of our Civil War series will discuss why the South seceded and the real reason behind the American Civil War (https://youtu.be/E_rV6QGjRmQ), while the first episode will describe how and why the American Civil War happened (https://youtu.be/o96xUF5mjOs). The first shots were fired with the Bleeding Kansas in 1854–1861 and John Brown's raid on Harpers Ferry in 1859, but the war started with the Confederate secession and the attack on Fort Sumter in April of 1861 and the first battle of Bull Run in July of 1861 (https://youtu.be/akciSbEka_E). In the aftermath, Lincoln and his commander, McClellan, launched the Peninsula Campaign, hoping to take the Confederate capital of Richmond during the Seven Days Battles and win the war quickly. (https://youtu.be/7ky86GF-cW0). These events allowed Lee to go on an offensive, leading to the second battle of Manassas (Bull Run), Cedar Mountai,n and Antietam (https://youtu.be/RNUA2vEklIQ). The war continued with the battles of Chancellorsville and Fredericksburg in 1862 (https://youtu.be/2FWziwTQOFA), and the hostilities peaked at Gettysburg in 1863 (https://youtu.be/HXPYeONfF90). In episode 7, we described the naval theater of the war, including the birth of the ironclads and the Battle of Hampton Roads (https://youtu.be/phL_VOwjTtQ), while episode 8 turned towards the western states, as we discuss the events in Kentucky and Missouri, Ulysses Grant enters the war and the battle of Fort Donalson takes place (https://youtu.be/eB21WzUCgWI). The Confederates launched a desperate counterattack at Shiloh, Corinth and Stone’s River (https://youtu.be/FHtJgiMrm64) and Grant's campaigns continued at Vicksburg (https://youtu.be/DPO4lqqfaLw), following the battles at Chickamauga and Chattanooga (https://youtu.be/y76wfHmySak), and Sherman’s campaign from Meridian to Atlanta: maneuvers, battles, leadership shifts, and decisive Union victory (https://youtu.be/tpHEz3iCon4), followed by Grant’s Overland Campaign: Wilderness, Spotsylvania, Cold Harbor, and the brutal march toward Petersburg (https://youtu.be/JIF7JwHeMn4). Grant’s siege of Petersburg forces Lee into defense as Confederate offensives under Early, Price, and Hood collapse nationwide (https://youtu.be/_4Juq1Z_v8g). From Petersburg’s Crater to Bentonville and Appomattox, this episode follows the brutal final battles that ended the American Civil War.🎥 Watch 250+ exclusive videos on youtube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCMmaBzfCCwZ2KqaBJjkj0fw/joinSupport Kings and Generals:✔ Patreon ► https://www.patreon.com/kingsandgenerals✔ PayPal ► https://www.paypal.com/paypalme/kingsandgenerals✔ Bitcoin (BTC)► bc1qe0a9266ksksncp44flhgrwex5sm94w3y576z7t✔ Ethereum (ETH)► 0x6F453dBc50F21816dCe8fdaE797AA9071c8d3a8a✔ Merch store ► https://teespring.com/stores/kingsandgeneralsVideos on American history:American Revolution - https://youtu.be/yRfAoxJj5j8When America Invaded Russia - https://youtu.be/7rRq3McTnYsTecumseh and the Native American Resistance - https://youtu.be/cH-T2aY4DPYHistory of the American Mafia - https://youtu.be/jUne3fMzPKUBattle of New Orleans - https://youtu.be/IH6CsX_nOVsThe video was made by Antoni Kamerans, while the script was researched and written by David Ernenwein. Reconquista is one of the most remarkable events in history. By 718 Islamic Invasion reached and then took over most of the Pyrenees, save for a remote region in the north. Spanish and Portuguese people fought for almost 800 years to reconquer the Christian lands, and that long struggle built them up and allowed to grow into empires that dominated the world for a few more centuries. This is a documentary on the general events of Reconquista and the decisive battle of Las Navas De Tolosa that took place in 1212 between the alliance of Aragon, Castile, Portugal, Navarre, knightly orders of Santiago, Calatrava, Templars and the Almohad Caliphate. We have more documentaries on the way, with multiple scripts in the works, but we need your support to make creating them viable. Alongside a number of memorable battles, this war had a number of brilliant stories and one of them is of the refugee the Swedish king Charles XII found in the Ottoman empire, which led to one of the early Russo-Turkish wars.Support us on Patreon: http://www.patreon.com/KingsandGenerals or Paypal: http://paypal.me/kingsandgeneralsWe are grateful to our patrons and sponsors, who made this video possible: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1_RlpYcXb7Q-bF6Lyv0NZHeg_49HuX_oifliX5Rt6Ny0/edit?usp=sharingThe video was made by our friend Michael Merc https://bit.ly/340tcO2 while the script was researched and written by Iván Morán.
