#320 Finding Calm and Confidence on a Stability Ball

Meditation Podcast

Show Notes

In this episode, Roy sits down with Yossi Montrose, founder of Performa Ball, who has spent more than two decades developing a physical coaching methodology built on controlled instability and stability ball training. Yossi shares how he grew up with a hearing impairment, was bullied from his first day at school, and carried that into a collapsed posture, constant pain and a complete loss of confidence. He describes finding the stability ball at a gym and how it changed his posture, breathing and presence. He also tells the story of learning to regulate himself well enough to stay calm with a lion at a nature reserve in South Africa. Roy and Yossi talk about choosing the right ball size and quality, why schools and offices have swapped chairs for balls, how movement calms children with ADHD, and how sitting on the ball can bring more energy, better sleep and relief from back, knee and shoulder problems. Yossi explains the 3,500 exercises he has created and where listeners can find him.

In this episode, Roy sits down with Elke Scholz, a registered psychotherapist, internationally registered expressive art consultant and educator, and internationally certified EMDR therapist, to talk about anxiety, trauma, expressive art therapy, and what it actually takes to love your life. Elke shares her own journey with undiagnosed anxiety, how EMDR therapy helps the brain release the energy trapped in traumatic memories, and why slowing down and getting present in the body matters more than any technique. She speaks candidly about how expressive art can help both children and adults process grief, trauma, and bullying, and walks through her own daily gratitude and grounding practice that has kept her grounded for over twenty years.

Flames of the Heart Meditation by Paul Boulton

Sep 13, 2026

In this episode, Roy sits down with Paul Boulton, a professional psychic and therapist from Australia with over two decades of experience, whose client list has included CEOs, doctors, psychologists, and even former nuns and priests. Paul traces his story from an intuitively attuned childhood, through a difficult schooling experience, to firewalking at 1,100 degrees and studying under influential figures in the consciousness field. He introduces his concept of the ”pre-incarnation contract” — a framework he uses in his therapeutic work to help clients understand the challenges they carry — and speaks candidly about the categories of trauma and violation he works with most often in his practice, and why he developed his own therapeutic tapping method, Targeted EFT, after finding tarot and palmistry alone weren’t enough to help clients move forward. Roy volunteers for a live reading on air, and Paul walks through tarot spreads and palmistry in real time, connecting what he sees to Roy’s recent recovery from a spinal injury and his approach to relationships. The conversation closes with Paul’s home energy-shielding practice and where to find his work.

In this episode, Roy sits down with Brian D. Ridgway, ”The Spellbreaker” and founder of Level 5 Mentoring, alongside Abigail Morgan, CEO of Level 5 Mentoring and a 27-year veteran of the coaching world. Brian shares the extraordinary story of January 3rd, 2011 — the day he hit total rock bottom, about to be homeless with his pregnant wife and two kids, and experienced an awakening that instantly transformed his relationship with his own mind. He unpacks where the ”Spellbreaker” name actually came from, walks through his Five Paradigms that he says govern how every person on the planet experiences their inner world, and lays out his ”Five Spells from Hell” framework — the mental patterns he believes quietly run beneath most people’s stress and stuckness. Abigail shares her own turning point — 27 years deep in the coaching industry, including 8 years running Martha Beck’s practitioner training program, and how a decades-long physical pain vanished in a single 10-minute session with Brian after years of other practices hadn’t touched it. For anyone drawn to stillness and inner work, this conversation offers a different lens on what actually releases tension held in the body and mind. They close with how this applies to parenting, to animals, and where to start if a four-day retreat in Hawaii isn’t realistic right now.
