Show Notes
This week Lauren causes a scene at the airport on the way back from Greece and it’s her turn to get on the no fly-list. In a show-down of Karens, Lauren nearly meets her match. Then once on the plane, Lauren pees in a circle around David as he gets chatted up again (yeah right). We pull a fast one and leave Athens with some extra cargo on board, so we are forced to go into detail about our latest transfer. We discuss lucky transfer socks, not spooking the horse and what went differently this time. We decide that doing IVF is like Squid Game but for sperm and Lauren tries to justify why she went into her transfer dressed like Joseph and his Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat. Maybe this is why she was able to rawdog it and do the transfer with no pain relief. This episode was officially reviewed by Lauren’s Dad; “It’s really funny and you talk about some important things - but there’s so much unnecessary swearing.” Show links: https://www.nexysfertility.com/about https://thefertilityalliance.org.uk/ Support our show here: https://buymeacoffee.com/thebabymakingbusiness
More from The Baby Making Business
This week David and Lauren reflect on the arrival of baby Cashel.
Lauren goes in for a routine scan and is kept in. The Baby is coming. It's D-Day.
This week, we’re talking about trust, transformation and two very different approaches to nesting. But drive each other bonkers in the process. We start with the deeply troubling stories emerging from fertility clinics in northern Cyprus, where families say DNA testing has revealed that the sperm or egg donors they carefully selected may not have been the donors used to conceive their children.
Today is a balance of silly buggers and “Getting deep Deborahs.”
To mark IVF day, we celebrate Jean Purdy, perhaps the greatest unsung hero of IVF. In doing so, we discover Rabbits were also trailblazers in the science of IVF.
