For centuries, humanity has been obsessed with one chilling question: what happens after we die?
In the search for answers, people have turned to tools said to bridge the gap between our world and the next - seances, automatic writing, and Ouija boards.
The Ouija board, marketed as an innocent game since the late 1800s, surged in popularity during periods of mass grief and uncertainty like World War I and the Spanish Flu pandemic, when desperate people longed to contact those they had lost. But opening a door to the unknown can come with a terrifying cost… because sometimes, whatever answers back may not be human at all.
In this episode, M reads true stories of people who used a Ouija board and lived through paranormal experiences because of it!

Every day, thousands of people comb over the racks and shelves of thrift stores, looking at items once worn or loved by other people.
There's a particular kind of isolation that comes with rural land. Ranches can stretch across hundreds of acres, with no neighbours or other signs of life for miles in any direction, just open sky, empty fields, and silence.
3 a.m. is famously known as “The Witching Hour”, the time of night when the veil between our world and the supernatural is said to become thin, and people report paranormal or demonic encounters.
