Show Notes
This week we get caught up with our good friend and first ever guest on the podcast, Sam. Sam is always a great and thoughtful conversation because he is about the smartest person we know. We sit around and talk about everything and anything from country music to local soda pop and everything in between. Of course we talk alot of metal and even review the new Megadeth. The Priest Family Madness tournament rolls on with an interesting matchup between two largely forgotten albums, Priest's Ram It Down Vs. Fight Small Deadly Space. I think Vegas had this as a pickum going in. The reloaded Spinner spat out 1976. Jay was in a Rush to discuss his choice while Jeff is not the biggest 70s fan but hit a home run with his pick. Sam as always had a thoughtful and excellent pick. @bass_player_sam kicky_sam_49 @DeepDivePodNet Logo by:@FUTURESQUASH767
More from Judas Priestcast
This week we welcome a long time friend and podcast virgin to the Priestcast. We can't believe it took so long to have Metal Godz (@godz_metal) on the Priestcast. Dude is an amazingly cool cat. Godz has been rockin the hard rock and metal before most of us were even born. We take Godz musical journey and sail through the cosmos on a Greyhound bus time machine from the 60's till now. The cosmic magic bus ride makes some groovy stops along the way leading up to the Priest Family Madness tournament. We all have 1978's Stained Class in our top four as it takes on 1984's Defenders of the Faith. Will the Metallion be out Classed? The Spinner year is 2019 and we all come up with some cool stuff. @DeepDivePodNet Logo by: @FUTURESQUASH767 gaslamp69@gmail

This week we welcome in Symeon from Paris. Symeon is the official biographer of Matt from Kansas City whom we all know from Uncle Steve's Mega Maiden Zone. We have a lot of fun with that and of course get Symeon's music and metal story and hear all about his first Judas Priest concert experience which occured less than a week before this recording. The Priest Family Madness Tournament rolls on with the classic 1977 album Sin After Sin Vs. 1988's Ram It Down. I know, right? The Spinner year was this very year of 2026. What is your favorite record released thus far this year? Symeon on Twitter: @SimosChouv @DeepDivePodNet Logo by: @FUTURESQUASH767
We could not believe it's been over two feckin years since we have had our good friend Fearghal Traynor on the Priestcast. We suck. Jeff just visited Fearg in Dublin last month though so he's off the hook but Jay's just a bad friend. We hope all is forgiven this week as we get caught up with all the goings on in Feargs life. We hit on marriage, Freak Pointing, mutuals, travel, music and a lot more. Did you know Fearg is also a hilarious comedian? The Priest Family Madness tournament moves on with the epic Sad Wings Of Destiney Vs. KK's Priest Sermons Of The Sinner. We may have been a little brutal towards KK's record. The Spinner year was 2004. Some really good records were discussed. Check out Feckology and Feckin' Metal Podcast Check out Freak Pointing " Too Tall To See The Moon" available everywhere. @DeepDivePodNet Logo by: futuresquash767
This week we welcome Jonas back to the Priestcast. Jonas is a professor of sociology and co author of a book about the sociology of religion. Holy shite, a hell of a topic to discuss and we deep dive into the relationship between metal and religion and trip down some rabbit holes along the way. We hope you all dig it as much as we did. The Priest Family Madness rolls on with Priest's debut Rocka Rolla taking on Rob Halford and family's Christmas record "Celestial". The Spinner Year was 2009. A great year in music Find Jonas at: @jh1791.bsky.social Give us crap at: [email protected] @DeepDivePodNet Logo by: @futuresquash767
