In this episode of #FightChatFriday we take a look at what we can do to continue our Taekwon-Do sparing training during covid. Many of us are now in lockdown, and our training is limited. We took inspiration from Stu Armstrong of the talent equation for this video, where he discusses his idea on #ditchthosedrills in a DrillDember campaign to have better training experiences for youth athletes. We chat in this video about what are drills in ITF TKD context, why they are so common and why they are more relevant now more than ever for us with restrictions. We look at some reasons why drills may not be the best approach, how context of the drills are everything and touching on some skill acquisition science to base some views of efficient Taekwondo training.
