Sexy Ageing: Embracing Life beyond 40

Show Notes

I know the title of the podcast might seems a bit confronting but I believe it's important to understand that there is a lot to unpack when it comes to menopause, weight gain in menopause and overall women's health for longevity. My guest is Carys Sonnenberg, a NHS GP and Women's Health and Menopause Specialist. She is also the Founder of an online resource, Rowena Health, which provides facts and information for women in menopause.

In this episode, we unpack a lot

Her own experience with perimenopause as a doctor - recognising it in others but not in herself.

What is metabolic syndrome? What is insulin resistance? What is the relationship to menopause?

How does metabolic syndrome impact on health and longevity?

Weight gain vs HRT vs motivation
