Navigating the custom home build process, construction loans + DIY Renovations with Timisha Porcher
MAKE SPACE with Cara NewhartShow Notes
In this episode, Cara sits down with ToolBox Divas Founder and former commercial banker, Timisha Porcher, diving into navigating the custom home build process, construction loans, and DIY renovations. She also dishes on what it’s like to keep all the details in order, choosing a quality builder, talking to your bank and getting permits.
Timisha is a country girl from a small town outside of Charleston SC. She’s always been fascinated with building things like furniture, cabinets and anything home related and while she started her career becoming a commercial banker, she was always making things for her home and repairing anything in need of repair. The knowledge she gained allowed me to become more confident and self-reliant tackling her own home improvement projects. Eventually her talent was noticed by friends and family, and she realized lots of women were uneasy with Do-It-Yourself (DIY) tasks and even afraid to try. She found her calling, creating Toolbox Divas, to help women conquer the unknown and to take charge of their own home.
