Summary
Libby prepares for Halloween, excited about trick-or-treating with her friend Jessica, who unfortunately falls ill just before the event. Despite her initial disappointment, Libby’s mother encourages her to embrace the evening, even introducing a playful witch hat for their cat, Margarita. The hat proves to be a source of amusement as Margarita resists wearing it, adding a lighthearted touch to Libby's pre-Halloween jitters.
As the night unfolds, Libby joins her friends, including May and Teddy, for trick-or-treating in their neighborhood. The group enjoys the festive atmosphere, visiting houses adorned with spooky decorations and collecting candy. Libby finds comfort in May's presence, who helps ease her anxiety about socializing with unfamiliar classmates. The evening is filled with laughter, especially when a skeleton on a porch surprises May, creating a memorable moment for Libby to share with Jessica later.
Returning home, Libby reflects on the fun she had, even without Jessica by her side. The night concludes with a cozy movie session with her mother and Margarita, who has finally settled down. Libby sends a message to Jessica, expressing how much she enjoyed the Halloween festivities and looking forward to next year, reinforcing the theme of friendship and the joy of shared experiences.
