Show Notes
Important To Me is a podcast about values-based ethical leadership. Host David Benger interviews one world leader every episode on the "behind the curtain" questions of leading on the global stage - What do they read? How do they cope with stress? How did they choose their mentors, and how do they recommend you choose yours? This podcast gives any student of leadership unique access to the inner lives of some of our planet's most thoughtful and reflective world class leaders.
For our second episode, we are joined by Ameenah Gurib-Fakim. President Gurib-Fakim enjoyed a career as a biodiversity scientist, before her election as President of the Republic of Mauritius. She speaks about the importance of mentoring young people, the value of visionary leadership, and shares her perspective on reconciling flawed heroes.
