Would You Speak Up? Part 2

UncommonTEEN for Christian Teen Girls

Show Notes

Have you ever known exactly what needed to be said... and said nothing? This week, Rosie, Kayleigh, and Sadie join Coach Jamie for an honest conversation about the difference between speaking up and starting drama, why truth without love falls flat, and what it actually looks like to confront someone the way Jesus would. The girls get real about the fear that keeps us quiet — and share the moments their faith gave them courage to speak anyway: a divine coffee shop encounter, a cry-night prayer that came full circle, and a lunch table where nobody else was a Christian. If you've ever shrunk back when God was nudging you to speak, this episode is your reminder: your voice matters, and you never know who's listening. Verses referenced: Ephesians 4:15, Ephesians 4:29 This week's challenge: The next time you feel God leading you to speak up, step out in boldness — and watch what He does.

Making friends is hard, especially if talking to people you don’t know terrifies you. Coach Jamie knows that feeling well. In this episode, she shares how one simple nudge from the Holy Spirit pulled her out of her comfort zone, and how it can do the same for you. We look at three friendships from the Bible that changed lives: Mary and Elizabeth (a friend who cheers you on when you’re walking toward Jesus), Ruth and Naomi (a friend who stays when there’s nothing in it for her), and Barnabas and Paul (a friend who takes a chance on someone nobody else will). Then Coach Jamie walks you through the CARE method she still uses today: Connect, Ask questions, Relate, and Encourage, with two real-life examples from youth group and homeschool co-op. This week’s challenge: CARE about someone new, then tell us how it went in the Spotify comments or email [email protected]. Scriptures: Luke 1:39–45 | Ruth 1:16 | Acts 9:26–27 | Proverbs 18:24 | Luke 6:31 Only 2 days left! The Abundant Life Collective closes Tuesday, October 20. What do you do when doom scrolling has taken over your Bible time? How do you actually hear God's voice? What does it look like to be yourself in public as a shy girl? And what do you do when you keep going back and forth between your faith and the world? At UncommonTEEN Live 2026, Coach Jamie and teen co-hosts Kayleigh, Rosie, and Sadie sat down for a live Ask Me Anything — and they did not hold back. These are real questions from real girls, answered with real wisdom. In this episode you'll hear practical tips for getting back into your Bible before you reach for your phone, how to know when God is actually speaking to you, the CARE acronym for making friends as a shy girl, why lukewarm Christianity is more dangerous than it feels, and what it actually takes to stop going back and forth with the world. Plus — Rosie shares a little bit about the devotional she is writing on lukewarm Christianity. You don't want to miss it.
