Zack Martin’s Worst Game, Tyler Eifert’s Notre Dame Offer & an NFL Training Camp Debate

Zack Martin and Tyler Eifert are back with the Notre Dame stories—and this time Zack is admitting which player gave him the worst game of his entire football career.

Zack remembers getting dominated by Stanford’s Chase Thomas, dreading the film review and unexpectedly meeting him again years later at Cowboys practice. The guys also revisit Notre Dame’s fiercest rivals, reveal why Zack nearly chose Michigan and explain how Charlie Weis had to find a roster spot for Tyler after his one-day camp.

Then they assess Notre Dame’s championship potential, including what Zack saw from C.J. Carr behind the scenes, before turning to the NFL. Zack reacts to Dallas’s difficult Thursday-night loss, the guys explain how NFL teams prepare for end-of-game situations and they clash over whether brutal training camps build contenders or simply wear players down.

Plus: Zack’s unbreakable road-trip rituals, Tyler’s embarrassing hunting mistake, their brutal elk hunt with Leighton Vander Esch and the New Zealand tradition that made Tyler throw up on camera.
