Show Notes
After roughing up dances earlier in the year on 7" vinyl, Footsie & Adam Prescott return with "The Don" and some tasty remixes. First up, jungle and bass specialist J-Kenzo strips it back for a heavy rolling assault - road tested for most of this year on soundsystems around the world.
Next, like a concealed weapon, Danny T & Tradesman rip up the rules with headtop flying dub reworking - dragging it kicking and screaming further into the scoops. Their dub mix goes even further, mutating the track into a real heavy stepper that would sound obscene on rigs such as Iration Steppas.
More from NICE UP! records
It's been a whlle since Scotland's Capitol 1212 dropped anything so it's a been worth waiting for as they unleash their debut release on NICE UP! Friends of the label for many years, they've always talked about working together but never lined anything up, until some fresh demo's landed in Shepdog's inbox and instantly got signed! Linking up with Brixton badman Killa P, the boys fire up a growling bass-heavy beast that blurs boundaries of hip hop, grime, dubstep and more. An absolute bad boy!
Adam Prescott returns to NICE UP! with another hot one as he fires up a heavy 80s inspired dancehall riddim for two-time Grammy award winning reggae artist Medisun to scorch with his red hot vocals. Fresh from working with Chronixx and Lucky Daye, he is the perfect pairing for this summer scorcher - hot like pepper sauce!
