My friend and uncle-in-law Mark Hubbell joined me to record a podcast episode last week. We talked coming up in the bike industry in the 70's, 80's, and 90's, appreciation of cycling and all it offers, some cool stories, MTB history, etc etc. A very nice listen.

Issue 12 features my friend Donald Wu of Pinehurst Bikes which is a local San Francisco homie brand. They do made-in-the-USA steel frames, on the racy side of the geo spectrum. We talk frame design, what it's like to run a homie brand, and nerd out on the details. Check out Pinehurst at pinehurstbikes.com and @pinehurstbikes on instagram. Thanks for listening! ***I blew it and made two episode 11's so this is actually Episode 13 not 12!! Silly me!
Pink Puffin Bicycles is the main bike shop I go to in San Francisco. It's run by Phillip Shain who has quickly become a friend and someone I see several times per week. He is obsessed with bikes and how they go together, and loves nice bearings. In this episode we talk about what it's like to run a bike shop in SF, what niche Pink Puffin fills, and we nerd out about bearings and wheels. Phillip is a passionate bike mechanic with experience working in all kinds of bike shops. It's been a while since I recorded a podcast episode. It's also been a while since we recorded this one. It's from late May of this year, and I finally found the time to edit it. There are a few technical difficulties, like the audio cut out a few minutes into recording and I think we lost maybe a minute or two of audio, not a huge deal. Also, we recorded this inside Pink Puffin bicycles on a closed day, but people still showed up wanting help with their bike, so there are a few interruptions, but it works with the conversation about customer service and helping all types of people. Thanks for listening. —Adam
Wow! I can't believe it's been ten episodes. "I never thought I'd be a podcast guy, but here we are." This episode's guest is Adam Sklar of Sklar Bicycles, who I've known a while. He recently moved to San Francisco and set up shop. We discuss his line of bikes, his approach and opinions, and other random stuff. It's a great one! Thanks Adam! Check out Sklar at sklarbikes.com and @sklarbikes on instagram.
Longtime friend Steve Keyes joins me to talk about Slug Bicycles and their new Gasser titanium hardtail, among other things. We nerd out quite heavily in this session.
For episode eight I talk to Teddy Hayden who is an instagram mountain biking sensation and an all around solid dude. We talk mountain biking, enduro and downhill racing, instagram reels (lol), making authentic content and staying true to one's brand, and a buncha other stuff. Hope u enjoy <3
