74. Did A Haunting Bring Down This Balcony?

Into The Fog with Peter Laws

Show Notes

In 1990, Samantha Fairweather moved her family into a grand mansion converted into quirky apartments. Their top-floor home came with a strange feature: a narrow wooden balcony that led to a complete dead end. It was here that the unsettling activity began. First came the footsteps—heavy, deliberate stomping that echoed past their bedroom windows late at night. But every time they rushed to the door to confront the intruder, the balcony was empty. With nowhere for a person to run or hide, the family was left with a chilling question: who, or what, was walking outside their door? The mystery only deepened when a personal object vanished from a locked room, appearing moments later in a neighbor's flat under impossible circumstances. But nothing could prepare them for the night the entire structure changed forever. Yet the situation would grow worse, leading to one shocking night of catastrophe. Join Peter Laws as he explores a true story of haunting anomalies, and a building that refuses to stay silent. In this video: The enigma of the heavy footsteps on a dead-end walkway. An impossible "teleportation" that left two families baffled. The catastrophic event that defied engineering logic. Talk of the abandoned mansion, which still "glows" at night today.

They drove into a glowing green mist in 1974 and lost 3 hours. What followed them home turned a UFO encounter into a terrifying poltergeist haunting. On 27th October 1974, John and Sue Day drove home to Aveley, Essex with their three young children when a pale blue light paced their car, the radio crackled and died, and a dense, glowing green mist swallowed the road. A 20-minute drive became nearly 3 hours missing. Then came nightmares of medical procedures, shadow figures, a clown-like visitor, moving objects, opening doors, humming and clicking, and phantom phone calls, much of it witnessed by investigators themselves. In this episode, I investigate the Aveley case. One of Britain's most disturbing combined abduction and haunting cases. As UFO disclosure and talk of non-human intelligence grows, are abductions and hauntings part of the same phenomenon? And could this be linked to the infamous Sandown Clown case, which happened a year earlier, only 100 miles away? I'm Peter Laws and this is Into the Fog. Real paranormal cases. Real witnesses. Told by a real person. What do you think followed them home? Let me know in the comments. What if you always knew when someone was about to die? Faye has seen many shadow people since she was 5, in a mirror, in a boyfriend's bedroom, outside hospital wards, and beside her newborn son's cot. Welcome to Into the Fog Embers, my companion series for case updates and shorter true paranormal accounts that deserve telling, even when they're not full-length documentaries. From a grandmother's goodbye in the mirror, to a bricked-up doorway, a dead relative's message that paid for a funeral, and icy hands that may have saved a baby's life, Faye asks if anyone can finally explain it.

On October 25th, 1979, Miami police and firefighters walked into the Miami Aerospace Academy in Little Havana and found hundreds of cadets in full panic. A 13-year-old girl rigid and sobbing that "the devil is inside of me," other pupils growling and twitching, a boy who crashed through a second-floor window and got straight back up, classroom doors torn from hinges, and teachers unable to hold order. The next day The Miami News ran it front-page as "Ouija Riot Baffles Police!" I'm Peter Laws and this is Into the Fog. In this episode I investigate what really happened at the Miami Aerospace Academy in Miami, Florida, drawing on testimony from biology teacher Patricia Murphy, former Miami police sergeant Lynne Brookes, deputy fire chief Frank Rollason, officer Harry Cunnill, Lt. Dan LeMay, principal Evaristo Marina, and WCKT-Channel 7 camerawoman Beverly Bryan, plus the Santeria offerings found on campus, the cursed F84 jet, and the debate over mass hysteria vs something darker. This is a true paranormal story, never fictionalised, with real witnesses on the record. Let me know in the comments… what do YOU think happened in that school that day? Want even more Into the Fog? Was a poltergeist caught on camera by a Canadian news crew? Summer, 1989. In Beauport, Quebec, an entire apartment building on Mgr-Gauthier Street came alive, violent banging that shook partition walls, ragged holes punched through plasterboard in real time, and dark shadows at the edge of vision. Witnesses weren't just tenants. Police officers, gas engineers and city inspectors all felt it. In this true ghost story, I investigate the Beauport Poltergeist, the TVA footage from August 4th 1989, what Lt. Guy Bedard and Inspector Gaston Dubé experienced, why gas, clay soil and plumbing theories failed, and the two chilling triggers: reported seances after a death downstairs, and 12-year-old Zoe's summer stay. This is a documented poltergeist true story, never fictionalised, told from contemporary press and investigator notes. Have a genuine experience to share?
