Small Compline | Evening Prayers (Without the Canon of Preparation)

The Divine Lantern

Show Notes

As the day draws to a close, join us in praying Small Compline, the traditional evening prayer service of the Orthodox Church.

A time for reflection, repentance, and thanksgiving, Small Compline invites us to turn our hearts towards God, seek His mercy, and entrust ourselves to His care as we prepare for rest.

This recording follows Small Compline without the Canon of Preparation for Holy Communion, making it suitable for regular evening prayer.

Begin your day with the Orthodox Church's brief morning prayers. These prayers invite us to thank God for a new day, seek His mercy and guidance, and dedicate our thoughts, words, and actions to Him. May this help you cultivate a daily rhythm of prayer, beginning each morning with Christ at the centre of your life.
