Show Notes
Today on the ElkShape Podcast, Dan sits down with his good friend Towson Jenkins from Wyoming—a bowhunter who quietly and consistently gets it done year after year on western big game. While his success in the mountains speaks for itself, what stands out even more is who Towson is when the tags are put away: a man of deep faith, a devoted husband, and the proud father of three beautiful daughters.
In this conversation, Towson shares the journey that changed his shooting forever as he opens up about overcoming target panic, rebuilding his shot process, and finding a new level of confidence behind the bow. Whether you've battled target panic yourself or simply want to become a more consistent archer, there's a lot to learn from his experience.
The conversation goes well beyond archery. Towson explains why he made a major career shift to prioritize being more present for his family, what it means to pursue success without sacrificing what matters most, and how his faith continues to shape every decision he makes.
To wrap things up, Towson talks about his ambitious goal of stepping into the professional ranks of target archery while continuing to chase western big game. It's an honest conversation about excellence, discipline, faith, family, and the relentless pursuit of improvement—both on the range and in life.
Topics covered:
Conquering target panic
Building a repeatable shot process
Consistent success in western bowhunting
Faith, marriage, and fatherhood

If you enjoy conversations that go deeper than gear and tactics, this episode is for you.
