Dietitians in Nutrition Support

Show Notes

In recent years, Nutrition Focused Physical Exams (NFPEs) have become an important part of a dietitian's toolkit for assessing clinical patients. Similar to their use in adult patients, NFPEs can be integral components in malnutrition assessments for pediatric patients. In anticipation for her upcoming Support Line article 'Assessment 2.0: Expanded Nutrition Focused Physical Exam of the Pediatric Patient' publishing in August 2024, Michele Spurlock, RD shares key components of NFPEs in the pediatric population in this Ask the Author interview.

Support Line is the official publication of Dietitians in Nutrition Support (DNS), a Dietetic Practice Group of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. This peer-reviewed publication is produced six times per year (February, April, June, August, October, December) and provided to all members of DNS.
