Due to CP's summer break, we're not having any new episodes, so we hope you enjoy this blast from the past with one of our curated episodes!
We are not our personalities. However, when we are unaware of our lower selves, it’s easy to identify with our personalities. In this episode, Uranio Paes goes through each of the nine types to give examples of how to fool the personality so that we can be free from its hold on us.
Each of the nine Enneagram types has an over-developed Center of Intelligence. Uranio talks about The Fourth Way, an approach to self-development created by George Gurdjieff. Gurdjieff was the pioneer who brought the Enneagram to the West. He taught that the first way is the way of the body, the second is the way of the heart, and the third is the way of the mind. The Fourth Way is mixing these three Centers of Intelligence so our personality doesn’t control how we react and we can be a more complete human beyond the confines of our personality.

More from Enneagram 2.0 with Beatrice Chestnut and Uranio Paes
Due to CP's summer break, we're not having any new episodes, so we hope you enjoy this blast from the past with one of our curated episodes!
This week, due to our retreats happening on full speed, we're reposting one of our #BestOF2025 episodes!
Today, Uranio Paes speaks about fixations in the Enneagram and deepens the understanding of this essential concept for self-development. In this episode, he explains that fixations are limiting beliefs of the mental center, which arise from the loss of contact with higher ideas and shape the way we think, perceive, and interpret reality.
Today, Beatrice Chestnut interviews Wilder Heath about his journey with the Enneagram and his experience as a Self-Preservation 4. In this episode, Wilder shares how his path of self-discovery involved testing different types, recognizing patterns of envy, and understanding his tendency to intensely absorb emotions and identities.
Today, Beatrice Chestnut interviews Rita Hovakimian about her journey with the Enneagram and her work in human development. In this episode, Rita shares her path as a self-preservation Type 8, exploring themes such as control, vulnerability, and the role of therapy in the growth process.
